Mr. Ramesh Ramanathan, the former National Technical Advisor for the Jawarharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JnNURM), Government of India, the Young Global Leader of 2007 chosen by the World Economic Forum and now a social entrepreneur working on urban transformation, delivered the 23rd OKH lecture on 18th January, 2020 on the topic “Systems Leadership: Leading from the Whole”. He articulated upon the various complex challenges of urban issues, the unknown and multiple moving parts at various nodes, huge constraints in Systems, massive deficiency in capacity, lack of spatial planning and transparency in decision making. He also highlighted the aspects of ambitious leadership in bringing about sustainable development for the urban conglomeration which will trigger larger waves of transformation with harmony sans conflict.

The Chief Secretary, Development Commissioner, Additional Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries, Secretaries of various Government Departments, Senior Administrators of different offices and organizations, Collectors and young IAS Officers listened to the lecture and interacted actively.
