24th OKH Lecture on 24th January, 2020
Padma Shri Awardee Mr. T.V. Mohandas Pai, the Chairman of Manipal Global Education Services, former Director of Infosys and Head – Administration & Human Resources, Partner at StartupXseed Ventures LLP, Chairman & Founder at Aarin Capital Partners, Founder at The Akshaya Patra Foundation, Member at Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Partner at 3one4 Holdings LLP and Partner at Exfinity Venture Partners LLP delivered the 24th Odisha Knowledge Hub Lecture on the Topic: “India @ 2030” on 24th January, 2020 in the Convention Center of the Odisha Lok Seva Bhavan.
He elaborated upon various aspects of Tech Entrepreneurship which will create a USD10 trillion Indian economy by 2030 by depicting projections in different sectors with an emphasis on access to basic necessities to lead a dignified life based on the digital economy with a renewed collective vision. He predicted that Odisha could become the hub of eastern India with radical transformation in technology and digitization of the economy through systems innovations. He predicted that more sustainability could be achieved through better governance, deep oversight and intelligent maneuvering of the market mechanism. He also added that farmers should be connected to technology for enhanced productivity and better price for their produce. He advocated for reduction in the contents of the textbooks for the students and get them acquainted with sourcing of knowledge, information, data etc. for problem solving and practical use of technology.
Hon’ble Finance Minister, the Chief Secretary, the Development Commissioner, Additional Chief Secretaries, Secretaries of Administrative Departments, other Senior Officers of State Government and other officers listened to the lecture. District Collectors, district level officers, students and other participants listened to the lecture through video link. He also interacted with the audience.
